Ajibola Akindele has over 20 years experience covering various industries including Power, Oil & Gas, Financial Services and Consulting. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious University of Lagos in 1999. He started his professional career with Accenture in the year 2000, where he spent 5 years before departing Nigeria for his MBA. He obtained his MBA from the Vanderbilt University in 2007, and subsequently joined Citigroup in New York as a Mergers and Acquisitions associate. Ajibola rose through the ranks to become Senior Vice President eventually working from Citi’s London offices.
He returned to Nigeria to join General Electric where he spent 4+ years. He rose to be the Regional Director for GE’s Energy Management business after which he left for Siemens. After a brief stint at Siemens, Ajibola joined Schneider Electric as Country General Manager (Process Automation) for Nigeria and West Africa. Ajibola is responsible for growing the Automation and Digital portfolio at Schneider Electric across West Africa. He works extensively across the O&G, Power and Minerals & Mining sectors.
Ajibola is married with 3 children and is an avid chess player
